Inspektr, Inc. ("Inspektr," "we," "our," or "us") is a Delaware corporation providing technology-enabled private provider construction inspection services pursuant to Florida Statute § 553.791. This Privacy Policy describes the categories of information Inspektr collects, the purposes for which such information is used, how it is disclosed and retained, and the rights available to account contacts in connection with their information.
Inspektr operates exclusively as a business-to-business (B2B) service provider. The contracting party is the business entity that registers for the platform ("Customer"). Individuals who access the platform do so as authorized representatives of the Customer. Inspektr does not knowingly collect personal information from individual consumers or homeowners as direct end users of this platform.
Names, email addresses, telephone numbers, job titles, and company information for Customer account contacts and authorized platform users. Login credentials (passwords are stored in hashed form; Inspektr does not retain plaintext passwords). Role designations, including Contractor Admin, Contractor Technician, Inspector, and Inspektr Administrator.
Jobsite addresses, permit numbers, permit types, project scope descriptions, and trade categories. Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and jurisdictional information as entered or uploaded by the Customer. Inspektr does not independently pull data from municipal databases. Completed inspection checklists, inspection outcomes (pass, fail, re-inspection required), inspector notes, and associated correspondence.
Video recordings of installations submitted by Customer technicians, together with any embedded metadata including device identifiers, timestamps, and geolocation data if present in the source file. Inspektr does not independently track real-time location. Photographs, thumbnails, and other media associated with inspection submissions. Audio captured as a component of video recordings where the recording device captures ambient sound.
Note: If a submitted video or photograph contains embedded EXIF or geolocation metadata, that metadata is retained as part of the inspection record.
IP addresses, browser and device identifiers, operating system version, and application version. Log data including feature usage events, session timestamps, crash reports, and error logs. Aggregate analytics data used to understand platform performance and usage patterns.
Billing contact names, email addresses, and company billing information. Invoice records, transaction history, and subscription or per-inspection billing data. Payment card information is processed and tokenized exclusively through Stripe, Inc. Inspektr does not store full payment card numbers or card verification values.
Inspektr uses the information described above to deliver inspection services, generate inspection reports, and issue Determinations; to support quality assurance, inspector training, and internal review processes; to facilitate dispute resolution and re-inspection workflows; to provide customer support and account management; to maintain security controls, detect fraudulent activity, and enforce our Terms of Service; to maintain audit trails required for inspection defensibility and regulatory compliance; to analyze platform usage in aggregate and anonymized form for product improvement; to process payments and manage Customer billing relationships; and to comply with applicable legal obligations and respond to lawful governmental requests.
Video recordings and associated media: five (5) years from the date of upload. Inspection records, checklists, and Determinations: five (5) years from project close. Account and billing records: the duration of the account relationship plus three (3) years following termination. System logs and audit trails: two (2) years.
Inspektr will not proactively delete inspection records or associated media within applicable retention periods, including upon Customer request, in order to preserve inspection defensibility and satisfy applicable legal requirements. Upon account termination, Customers may request an export of inspection records and reports (excluding raw video files) by contacting Inspektr within thirty (30) days of the termination date.
Inspektr does not sell personal information. Inspektr discloses information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers and subprocessors: Inspektr engages third-party service providers for cloud infrastructure and data storage, content delivery, analytics, payment processing (Stripe, Inc.), and customer support tooling. Such providers are bound by contractual data processing obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Within the Customer organization: Information is shared among a Customer's Contractor Admin, Contractor Technicians, and Inspektr's assigned inspectors as necessary to deliver services.
Legal and regulatory: Inspektr may disclose information as required by applicable law, court order, or lawful governmental process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Inspektr, its personnel, or third parties.
Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of substantially all of Inspektr's assets, Customer information may be transferred, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
All Inspektr inspectors are employees or direct contractors of Inspektr, Inc. Inspektr does not subcontract inspection work to third-party inspection firms.
Inspektr implements commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. Such measures include role-based access controls, encryption of data in transit, and audit logging of access to inspection records and video assets.
In the event of a data breach affecting Customer information, Inspektr will notify affected Customers in accordance with applicable law. Inspektr does not warrant or represent that its security measures are impenetrable, and makes no absolute guarantee regarding the security of information transmitted over the internet.
Authorized account contacts may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal account information by submitting a written request to support@inspektr.com. Upon receiving a verified deletion request, Inspektr will delete the account contact's personal information (name, email, phone number, login credentials) within thirty (30) days, except where retention is required to satisfy Inspektr's legal obligations. Inspection records, videos, checklists, and Determinations associated with the Customer account are subject to the retention periods set forth in Section 4 and will not be deleted prior to the expiration of those periods, as they are maintained for inspection defensibility and regulatory compliance purposes. Deletion of an individual user's account credentials does not affect the Customer entity's account or the accounts of other authorized users.
Customers who are California residents, and individuals whose personal information is processed in connection with the platform, may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Inspektr does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. To submit a CCPA rights request, contact support@inspektr.com.
The Inspektr platform uses cookies and similar technologies for session management, authentication, and internal analytics. Inspektr does not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertising networks. Inspektr's marketing website may employ third-party analytics tools, including Google Analytics, to measure web traffic and usage patterns. Platform users may manage browser cookie preferences through their browser settings; however, disabling certain cookies may impair platform functionality.
Inspektr reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. In the event of a material change, Inspektr will provide notice to the Customer's designated Contractor Admin via email and/or in-platform notification no fewer than fourteen (14) days prior to the effective date of such change. Continued use of the platform following the effective date of a modified Privacy Policy constitutes the Customer's acceptance of the updated terms.
